My poor boy lost his radiant smile yesterday afternoon. It was all because of his homework. We were teaching him his maths and realised he could not read 621 (six hundred and twenty-one) correctly. He said six twenty-one. When prompted for the hundred, he said six twenty-one hundred and many other wrong answers. He did not know what comes after 621 (number sequence). Despite numerous reminders, he still could not get it right (my boy forgets everything especially when he gets frightened). He was caned for his forgetfulness and boss made him recite 1 to 100 loudly for numerous times. After that, on our way to Paragon for dinner, he fell asleep in the car. When I tried to wake him up at the car-park, my poor boy woke up reciting numbers. Are we putting too much pressure on him? So sad.
Fortunately when I did his homework with him today, he managed to read the numbers correctly and got the sequence right.
