Job well done!

Comic

Clarence took boss's chinese comic to read the other day. I thought he was just looking at the pictures. To my surprise, he could read some of the chinese words in the comic (the ones he learnt in school).

Mummy felt so proud of him and myself (all my drilling effort has not gone to waste).

Tape

When I went to pick Clarence from the school's office 2 days ago, I found him with tape on his mouth and scissors and tape on his hands.
The cheeky boy taped his own mouth for fun. Faint!

This talkative boy started practising taping his mouth before the teacher punishes him.

Imitate

Clarence likes to imitate his sister. When Vincy shouts, he shouts. When she calls papa, he calls papa. When she puts her fingers in her mouth, he puts his in too.

Peacock

Clarence drew a peacock during art lesson and mummy thought this was one of his best piece of work.

The teacher told me he spent a lot of effort on this piece of work because he wanted to get the tattoo. No wonder!

touch my head when mummy asks me to.

Wild Wild Wet

We went Wild Wild Wet with my parents, brother and his family, the Chuas and the Wongs.
We dashed in at 10.15am to avoid the crowd.
Getting ready:

The kids play area was very big. They have a baby and toddler play area too.

Vincy and boss.
No more photos from here onwards cos my camera was not waterproof and mummy's off to play. Really considering getting a waterproof camera.
Clarence and Vincy left with my parents at about 1pm so Boss and I had time to ourselves. Wow! It was really relaxing without the kids.
Best slide, must try: the slide up. Feels like Viking! Mummy had a go on that with Auntie Janet.
The Tsunami pool (artificial wave pool) and Ular-lah raft slide were fun too.

Escape

Escape to ......
Escape theme Park.
We got free tickets for the park. So we went with my brother and his family on 11/7/09.

First ride: Kite flyer. Mild ride cos the speed was not too fast. But Clarence did not dare to try.

Then we went to the haunted house. Very dark and spooky inside. It was so dark that I could not even see clearly where I was going. Clarence was brave and walked through the haunted house with us without crying. Mei mei went in too. She did not cry cos she did not know what was happening. Ha!

The 2 kids went for bumper boat ride. Everything was fine until the monster went in.

They were drenched! Thanks to the monster who went in and fired them with the water gun.

After drying the kids, we went for the family roller coaster. Clarence was happily queuing up until he saw the roller coaster move. He regretted and said he didn't want to take the ride. However, evil mummy forced him to take the ride and he cried loudly throughout the ride. Hearing his cries made people think the ride was so scary. Faint!

Mummy and brother and sister-in-law tried the pirate ship and wet n wild ride. The wet n wild really made us wet with water splashing at us when we came down. Boss did not take any of these exciting rides cos he was taking care of Vincy. (real reason will not be mentioned, ha ha!)

The ride Clarence enjoyed most was the Daytona Go-kart. He made us went twice with him.

The only ride meimei took was the Choo Choo train.

After we left the park, we saw a cosplay event at the D'Marquee. Hence we grabbed the chance to take pictures with some of the cosplay characters. The most impressive one was the Gundam.

Birthday celebration in school

Mummy ordered cupcakes for Clarence's birthday celebration in school. For the past 2 yrs, I used to order ice-cream cake from Swensons. So decided to have a change this year. I really love the 2D cupcakes design. But they were rather expensive, $4.50 each. (once a yr, so never mind!)

The Birthday Boy!

Clarence's classmates eating the cupcakes. Some of them could not bear to eat the dinosaur, they saved it for the last.

The boy on the left, Dylan is Clarence's best friend in school. The little gal Natalie is Clarence's little girlfriend in school. He always tells me he likes Natalie.

The "most popular person" title that day went to Vincy and Boss (It's a tie between them). The kids adore them. They crowd around Vincy to explore her angel wings and touch her. They kept saying Clarence's meimei is so cute.
Boss played with the kids and they were so rowdy that I felt a bit embarrassed. According to the teacher, Boss was the only parent to play with the kids so far.
This was the first time my boss attended his son's birthday celebration in school. For the past 2 yrs, only mummy went for the celebration.

Family photo.

My angel Vincy!

Singing of Birthday Song

Kids nowadays are so fortunate, one birthday but celebrate a few times (at home, in school etc). Clarence is looking forward to his birthday party celebration in Fidgets now!

Piet Mondrian

They did something different for art this week. The art teacher introduce them to this artist named Piet Mondrian. She photocopied the artist's work to show them and asked them to do something similar.
The artist's work:

Clarence is 5

Boss went to get a small slice of cake for Clarence on his 5th birthday (13/7/09).

We had a simple celebration at home. We sang Happy Birthday song and Vincy clapped along too. My son is 5 yrs old now.

Dinosaur again

Clarence chose to paint dinosaur for his make-up art lesson the other day. Yes, dinosaur again! It was a wooden piece of block with a hook on it for hanging small items. Funny part, when asked what colour he wanted to paint, he told the teacher white. (The thing was already white in colour)(Reason was because he just watched Ice Age 3 and the dinosaur Rudy in the movie was white in colour)
After some persuasion, he then changed his mind and painted another colour.

But the nails and mouth still white in colour.

Abstract art

This was a piece of abstract art done by Clarence. According to the teacher, they are supposed to cut out different shapes and paste on the paper. They can cut and paste anything they like. But to mummy, Clarence's work looks a bit abstact.

After checking with the artist, from top right hand corner is a yellow moon, red sea, green sloth, blue waves, green dinosuar, green tree and red fish.

Ice age 3

We went to watch Ice Age 3 last Sat. We bought tickets for the 9.20pm show hoping that Vincy can sleep in the cinema while we enjoy the movie.

With the 3D spectacles

Vincy was so excited in the cinema that night, she kept disturbing boss by taking off his 3D spectacles and making funny noises. So my poor boss got to get up and stand behind the cinema to watch the show for quite some time.

Sand

Boss got a whole bag of free sand castle building tools. So we brought it along to ECP to try out.
The busy at work pictures.

Must put sand and water into the tool then pump out the excess water before you can lay the brick. Not easy!
So after some experimenting, the end results:

There should be 4 bricks but 2 were stepped on by the kids.
The castle was simple, just done with a big bucket.
Mummy suggested Clarence to be sandman:

The blue thing was Auntie Jaslyn's idea!
Isaac saw Clarence being buried in the sand so he told me he wanted to try too.
Presenting Miss Sandman:

Auntie Janet, I seek Isaac's permission before turning him into Miss! Ha!
My boy saw Isaac's Miss Sandman model and he wanted to do it again.
However, he became a He-She! My god!

Get wet time again.

Caught somebody skiving in the tent.

After cleaning up, it was dinner with the Wongs at Carls Junior. We managed to catch the fireworks show there. Not very impressive though.
