Little Tays Duet

They practised very hard to play this duet. This is the best video out of more than 40 takes. This is their present to Daddy who is coming back from his 2 weeks of business trip in Miami today :)
 

Night Trail @ Pasir Ris Park

On 3 Nov, we formed our own group and went for a guided tour (Night critter watch at Pasir Ris Mangrove Boardwalk) conducted by Andrew.
We visited the lovely and extensive herb,vegetable and spice plot. Then we went to the open butterfly garden to see caterpillars. At dusk, the kids shared a bat detector to look out for the active bats at night. We walked into the mangrove via the extensive boardwalks to look out for other nite critters such as tree climbing crabs perching above tree branches, fireflies and others. Kids loved to use their torches to shine and look out for creatures.

Halloween On Skates

Joined the Halloween Party held by Clarence's previous skating school on 2 November. This year, the venue was at Bishan Park which was very convenient for us.

Clarence's Halloween look:

Although Vincy was not involved in the party as she did not know how to skate, daddy still brought back stuff to doll her up for the Halloween Party.

 Saw a lot of effort from the school, home baked fingers biscuits by the coach:

 Looked so real that the kids refused to eat them.

The kids skated around Bishan Park looking for clues. It was like a treasure hunt thingy for them. Good exercise for Clarence.

 Met up with Clarence's kindergarten friend Dylan at the party too.

First violin lesson

The kids went for their first violin class last Sunday. I love this buddy picture of them.

The teacher asked me to sit in for the first few classes cos Vincy is still very young.
They were introduced to the various parts of the violin and taught how to hold the bow.

After the first lesson, my conclusion: it is not easy to learn violin.
Hope their passion for violin can last.

SDC membership

We signed up for a one year membership at Singapore Discovery Center on 2 November. Caught Penguins and Thor: The Dark World  in IWERKS, tried the 4D simulation ride in the XD Theatre plus shooting using real modified SAR21 rifle and SIG SAUER P226 pistols, all inclusive in the membership. I would say its value for money.

Made a second visit in the following week to bring the kids to watch Cloudy Meatballs 2. This time we went into the Discovery Center to see the exhibits inside.

We watched a short show about terrorism in Singapore. Somebody planted a bomb in the MRT train and after the bomb went off, there were a lot of casualties. Meimei ran and hid behind me when the unexpected bomb went off. Both of them were scared and worried about people planting bombs in the MRT afterwards. They were afraid Daddy may be bombed when taking the train.

Evening at Park

Daddy and son went for a jog in Bishan Park during one of the weekends in Oct. Mummy and Vincy ate at MacDonald while waiting for them to be back. After our Mac dinner, kids played with bubbles in the park. 

Reward time

This is Clarence's reward for his SA2 Maths.

His motivation: Get 90 marks and above in any paper and he gets to choose something he likes.
He managed to get above 90 for Maths so he chose to buy Skylander Swap Force.
We were very pleased with his SA2 Maths. He scored 95, this is his personal best so far. Well done, son.
He was so funny, the moment he got the exam paper, he looked at the marks and was pleasantly surprised he got 95. His next reaction: look at the name on the script to make sure it was his.

Vincy turns 5!

My 宝贝 is 5 years old now! We celebrated her birthday on 27 August 2013 in her childcare center. Daddy took half day leave on that day. She was very happy to see all of us at her childcare center.
