One step closer to P1

Bought uniform for Vincy yesterday. No need to join the crowd on Sat during Orientation. My cutie gal in her SNGS uniform.
Blouse and pinafore:

With her large school bag which we bought a few months ago.

In PE attire:

She is so happy to try out her uniform, even wanted to wear her uniform out for piano class.

Independent

Daddy is in China for 2 wks business trip. Decided to train the kids to be more independent while he is away.

Taiwan 9Dec-18Dec 2013 (Day 2)

After free breakfast in the hotel, we took a cab to the nearest MRT station and board the train to go to Maokong Gondola.

Taking pictures on the way to take the gondolas.

Inside the crystal cabin gondola:

The bottom of the gondola was fitted with tri-layer reinforced glass. The garang ones lying on the glass.

Enjoyed the panorama view of Maokong.

Walked around for a while after we reached Maokong Station via the gondola. Then had our Taiwan sausage before having lunch. Ordered rice with some dishes and soup. Got a great shock cos the soup came in a huge pot and we couldn't even finish half the pot. Such a waste.

It was very cold up in Maokong. So cold that Vincy stole Daddy's jacket on the way to Taipei Zoo via the gondola.

By the time we reached the Zoo, it was already in the afternoon. The entrance tickets to the zoo was very cheap. $2 plus for adult and $1 plus for kids. A good and cheap way to spend a day. Lots of animals there, surprise to see kola bears in the zoo too.

Clarence's favourite: the Gorilla

Paid a visit to the Pandas. But didn't get to see the baby pandas. Only saw the adult panda but couldn't get a good photo of it. Kids were happy with the souvenirs. Clarence chose panda soft toy and Vincy chose panda pencil.

The Zoo was huge. So huge that my legs almost broke from all the walking. Serious, no joke about it.
Dinner: steamboat again. This was a treat from Daddy's Taiwan colleagues.

After our sumptuous dinner, we took a cab to Shilin Market.

Kids love to play the game stalls there. Only let them play 3 games cos I realized it wasn't really cheap. Can't remember exactly how much but one or two games already cost more than our taxi fare.
Clarence trying to lift up the bottle, looks easy but its actually not.

Taiwan 9Dec-18Dec 2013 (Day 1)

A very very late post, almost one year late. Vincy and I still had long hair then. Haha, our 10 days Taiwan trip in Dec 2013.
Happy kids on the plane to Taiwan:

At Taiwan airport:

We arranged for airport transfer to our hotel (Dandy Hotel). The moment we reached the hotel, they served us hot drinks and biscuits. Very good service!

Simple family room, with additional sofa bed. Just nice for 4 of us.

Took some pictures before we left the hotel to look for dinner.

Decided to have steamboat at 石二锅 , recommended by the friendly hotel staff. Waited for quite long for our table.

Delicious steamboat in the cold weather for our hungry stomach.

Verdict: cheap and good!
We were pleasantly surprised when we paid cos the price was unbelievably low. Cheapest steamboat we ever had.

Legoland Holiday (7sept-9sept)

As we did not bring the kids out for holiday since Jan and Vincy has been complaining so Legoland land, here we come!
Day one (7/9):

The legoland hotel lobby has lots of legos for the kids to play while we wait to check-in to our room.

Got our key.

Separate sleeping area for the kids and adults.

Kids with a lot of help from daddy managed to decode the password to open the safe to get their presents.

We went into the legoland theme park around 5pm and stayed till 7pm. Couldn't stay any longer cos they were very efficient in closing. lol!

Took six roller coaster rides with my son. He is finally willing to take thrilling rides and is asking to take more than once for each ride.

Check out the new star wars exhibit there too.

Day two (8/9)
Woke up early for breakfast then kids have fun building a castle by using the extra big lego blocks.

Surprise the kids by meeting up with the Chuas:

Off to Legoland  Water Park:

Our first ride: red rush. Vincy was terrified after taking this twice.

Then we tried the brick blaster. Vincy gave up after this ride. She refused to try any more challenging rides.

Getting ready for the slide racers. Got to climb long flights of stairs to reach this slide but it was fun as we could challenge each other.

Mei mei enjoying other rides.

At the build a raft river, instead of building with the lego blocks, the adults were setting terrible example by throwing the lego blocks at each other.

As the park is not crowded, we tried all the rides in 2 plus hours then break for lunch before going to Legoland theme park.

My brave boy: this expression is priceless!

Timid Vincy can only pose on the project x technic ride.

We all had good fun at the Rescue Academy. Kids suggested kids vs adults competition.
Three cheers for their confidence and their coordination. They were actually faster than the adults initially which kept us wondering why. Later we realised that the fathers were pumping the levers at different direction. Kudos to the brilliant kids who knew the trick and coordinated so well. Of course the adults won the race finally but the 4 kids actually beat the other 2 teams and came in second. Well done!

We went for foot and shoulder massage after dinner but tired meimei fell asleep while waiting for us.

Laze in our room after breakfast then home sweet home on the 3rd day.
