Paper Flower

Clarence made this paper flower from a paper plate. Mummy wanted to throw it away but was stopped by Clarence. he told me it was meant to be a present for one of his teachers on Teacher's day. Oops!

Mummy asked him which teacher is he going to give the flower to and after thinking for a day, he told me he is going to give it to Teacher Emma, his form teacher in his childcare.

Snap snap

Clarence has been bugging us to bring him to the zoo since last week. So we went today despite the wet weather.
Outside the zoo:

He brought along his camera to take pictures of the animals in the zoo.

So he went "Snap snap" whenever he went.

The drizzle got heavier so we took shelter and fed meimei near the elephant enclosure.
While trapped there, Clarence started to snap pictures again. We became his models.

On our way out, I got an elephant soft toy for meimei for her birthday present.

Clarence was jealous and kept asking us to buy one for him too. He kept saying it was not fair. The sulking boy:

Last minute

After our dinner yesterday, while we were on our way back, my dear suggested buying a slice of cake to celebrate Víncy's birthday. Guess he wanted to do so cos he missed the celebration in school. Managed to get a slice of chocolate cake from Jack's place and we all sang happy birthday song to meimei.

These few days when I caught her sucking her fingers, she would just use the other hand to cover her face, like this:

And pretend she did not hear me or see me or she thought by doing so, I could not see her sucking her fingers. The chinese proverb to describe her behaviour: 掩耳盗铃

Vincy's birthday celebration

Celebrated Vincy's birthday in her childcare yesterday cos mummy won't be free on the actual day.
My little princess in school:

The monkey agar agar cake was chosen by Vincy.

I brought gor gor along for her birthday celebration.

She got a present from the school.

Luckily gor gor was there, cos the playgroup kids were too young to sing the Happy Birthday song.

Despite teaching her how to blow the candles after the birthday song at home, she was still lost during the actual celebration.

Fun in the pool

Went over to my brother's place last Saturday and the kids had fun in the pool.
This is meimei's first time swimming (playing with water) there.

This is gorgor's n (loss count) time swimming there.

He stayed there for the night so my dear and I had some quiet time that evening.

Umbrella

Clarence drew a huge umbrella.
Asked him why the umbrella was so big? He told me the umbrella was big so that it can shelter the flats too.

Boots

I bought this pair of boots for Vincy last year. It was too big for her then. She can finally wear them now. Made her put on the boots when we went out yesterday. She was reluctant to put them on initially cos she preferred her crocs but after seeing gor gor wore his rain boots, she followed suit.

Gor gor saw me asking meimei to wear boots and he insisted wearing his rain boots too. He thinks he is a soldier!

When we ask her what gor gor says, she will imitate gor gor crying cos gor gor often cries.
And gor gor gets angry when he sees her imitating him cry.

Sucking fingers

Vincy loves to suck her fingers. She will always suck her right hand index and middle finger. She starts to suck her fingers when she gets bored or when she she is sleepy. I was shocked when the teachers told me she did not suck her fingers in school.
So nowadays at home, I will remind her not to suck her fingers. I even threaten to tell teacher Fifi if she sucks her fingers. She is very scared of teacher Fifi so she will always remove her fingers amd smile at me when she knows I am watching her.

Sometimes this clever girl will hide herself under the pillow to suck her fingers.

Bye bye

Who is meimei saying bye bye to?
Her poo poo!

This is her 3rd attempt poo pooing in the toilet. But so far all these attempts were not initiated by her. Mummy spot her trying to poo and carried her to the toliet to do her business. I wonder when will she be able to tell me she needs to poo by herself?

Hide

Naughty meimei will sometimes go and snatch toys from gor gor and when her gor gor ask her to return, she will run and go and hide under the table. Yesterday, she went to gor gor's room and took his Animal Kaiser card collection book and ran to hide under my study table when her gor gor gave chase.

It seems that she knows she is smaller size and it is to her advantage to hide under the table cos gor gor is a little big and clumsy to go under.

However, most of the time she will return the items to her gor gor in a short while. Is she playing with him? Or trying to irritate the gor gor?

Not ready

After reading books to the kids yesterday, mummy asked meimei if she want to sleep in gor gor's room with gor gor. She positively said ÿes to me. So I got her 2 big pillows and sent her to gor gor's room and cleared a space for her to sleep.


After saying night night to them, I switched off the light and went back to my room. I just told my boss and told him our girl was sleeping in gor gor's room. He was shocked!
However, in less than 5 mins, Clarence came to my room and told me meimei was looking for me. She wanted to come back to my room.
End result: comfortably sleeping on her bed in my room.

She is not ready yet.
Anyway her daddy is also not ready yet. Not ready for his princess to leave him and sleep in another room.

Sunrise

My favourite drink from Coffee Bean is sunrise. But it is a special concoction that I need to order.
My order:
sunrise without the whip cream and pls change the vanilla powder to chocolate power.
Sometimes I do get weird stares from the waiters but I really prefer chocolate.
Clarence also loves my special sunrise.
I introduced my sunrise to Vincy yesterday. She loves it too.

So parents can really influence their kids in one way or another.

Rayson and Raeanne's Birthday Party

We attended Rayson and Raeanne's Birthday Party at eXplorerskid.

Playing at the ball pit. Actually Vincy was more keen to pick up the balls on the floor than play in the ball pit. She went all around picking up balls and putting them back to the ball pit. This funny gal!

After getting her warmed up, we brought her to the playground. She enjoyed climbing in the playground.

Lorry

Supposed to draw a car today but Clarence drew a lorry instead.
Reason: He wanted to deliver a huge cake to his friend Rayson.
It is Rayson's birthday and we gone to his birthday party.

So sweet of him to draw such a huge cake with 6 candles for his friend.

Ugly or 美美？

Whenever we ask her she is ugly or 美美，this will be her reply:

She always think she is 美美 and she gets upset when we say she is ugly.

Chinese exercises

I brought these complimentary worksheets from school and let Clarence do.

Simple 汉语拼音 exercises. Glad that he was able to do most of the questions, which meant he was paying attention during his childcare centre's Chinese lessons.

However, when I wanted to go and buy more assessment for him to do the other day, he stood in front of me and blocked me away from the books. He asked me not to buy cos he did not want to do. Faint!

Although I did not buy any the other day, I still have a lot of Chinese worksheets for him to complete and I will go and buy some English and Maths assessment for him to practice at home. Kiasu mother here getting my son ready for Primary 1 next year.

The same old monkey

Daddy bought this monkey from the Zoo for Clarence when he was 2yrs old in 2006.

4 yrs later, meimei found this monkey on gor gor's bed and it has become one of her favourite, at times replacing her Barney. She takes it out with her and goes to school with it too.

Value for money!
