Mad about Barney

The other day when we went to T3, meimei just dashed into a gift shop by herself and started kissing the Barneys in the shop.





She watches the same Barney VCD everyday during her meal time. Since she likes Barney so much, I suggested to boss to get her a singing Barney so that she won't bug us to sing to her with Barney in our hands. So boss got her darling a singing Barney soft toy last Sat.
Vincy has been holding on to her Barney toy and bringing it out since Sat till now. She even brought it to school today.

So now we have 2 Barneys at home.

Barney and Chinese

Vincy likes us to hold Barney and sing songs to her. I realised she can differentiate between English and Chinese although she can't speak yet. When we take Barney and sing in English, she will dance and smile but when we sing in Chinese with Barney, she tells us NO. To her, Barney speaks English only, ha ha!

So we tried to take a video but to our dismay, she was ok with Barney singing in Chinese when we filmed her.

Conclusion: She got used to Barney singing in Chinese after a while.

Kite flying

My school has a kite flying event for all the P1 and P2s yesterday. So I brought Clarence along. He waited in the office for me for about 1 and half hours while I was doing my duty outside. He brought sweets and toys to play while waiting for me to come back. I also gave him some paper to draw to pass time. When I went back for him, he was about to cry. Guess the wait was too long for my poor boy. All my colleagues said he was very well behaved while waiting for me in the staff room. :)

I bought a kite for him and we went kite flying with the rest.

Our kite did not manage to fly high, mummy really dun know how to fly kite. The kite broke after a while and Clarence was very disappointed. He wanted another kite so I promised him I will buy another one for him next time.

We spent quality time together yesterday.

Clown

Actually mummy thought the clown look rather scary.

Tote bag

Mummy bought a tote bag for Vincy last week. She was so happy to have her own bag. She happily carried it around. I put a brush and a toy hand phone in her bag.

Missed out Clarence's card to me during the previous post. So will include it in this post. He told me he did it in the school's computer lab and he chose the flower himself.

Cling wrap

Clarence went topless with Dubery.

Dubery asked for cling wrap from my mum and wrap himself up. He also helped to wrap up Clarence.

I do not know why he wanted to wrap himself but the 2 boys enjoyed the hot cling wrap. Poising for picture:

I almost fainted after I took Clarence's picture. I asked him why did he pose like that and he told me he was posing like a girl.

She went out with......

Vincy went out with her doll last Sunday night. She wanted to bring her "baby" along. We also brought along her toy stroller for her baby.


She also hung a toy handphone on her neck. So busy!

BOY

Clarence was supposed to draw a boy for art. This was his first draft. He drew his best friend in school, Dylan Soh.

The first version was too small, so he did his second version:

New playground

We discovered a new playground at Courts in Tampinese last friday. We initially wanted to go to Ikea for dinner then dump Clarence in the ikea playground while we shop. However, Ikea was so packed so we changed our mind and walked over to Courts for dinner. After our so so dinner in Courts, we discovered a new playground there. Meimei did not meet the minimum height requirement so she could only play at the kitchen area.

Clarence was happy to climb and slide in the playground. Best part of all, it was not crowded at all.

Small bathtub

Gor gor and meimei managed to squeeze themselves into this small bathtub last week.

Boss needs to use the bathtub (or containers or toy pot and spoon) so that meimei will allow him to shower her.

Tired

Vincy was very tired today. After she came home from school, she fell asleep on the floor with her favourite pillow before I could even give her dinner. The 2 dogs were so nice to sit down beside her.

Touched

I am very tired and cranky recently. Still trying very hard to juggle between work and family (after 16 mths break from work). Felt helpless at times when I felt like I was not good at both. I became very short-tempered at home. I kept complaining and complaining.

Yesterday, after shopping in Vivo in the morning, we went back home in the early afternoon so that Vincy can take a nap and I can start to mark my compos. My dear rested for a while before he went marketing for groceries(his weekly routine) while I stayed at home with the kids.

After he came back, he vacuumed and mopped the floor. While he was cleaning the house, I asked him if he was tired and he said yes. I asked him how come he did not complain? He told me it was his responsibility. I was touched. Really touched!

Mother's Day

Clarence made 1 card, 1 paper bag and some flowers for mummy for Mother's day.
My favourite is the flowers. He made them during his art class. He put the flowers in his bag when he came out of class:

These flowers were unique. Clarence traced the shape of his hands on the orange paper then he cut out the shape and rolled it into the petals.

I love them, thanks Clarence!

We asked Clarence if he want to sleep in our room tonight. The answer is YES!
The original plan was mummy share the queen bed with meimei and gor gor sleep on meimei's mattress. A while later, meimei moved down and they ended up like this:

Fair

We visited my brother's booth at the furniture fair last weekend and little Vincy imitated her brother and sat inside a table.

We have a guest

We have a guest on Sunday night. My nephew Debury decided to stay over for the night. He is 9 this year and this was his first time staying out without his parents or grandparents.
He helped me feed Vincy:

They decided to sleep together on Clarence's super single mattress for the night.

I sent them to bed at 11pm and when I went in to check at 11.30pm, they were both fast asleep.

The next day, I asked Dubery if he wanted to come over and stay again, he said no cos he missed home.
