Tiger at large

Clarence put on the paws gloves and pretended to be a tiger, roaring and jumping around the house. I thought he looked more like a bear! But he insisted he was a tiger. Cute tiger!

Small bucket

Clarence painted a small bucket during art lesson on Sat. His favourite colour now is pink. Can tell from the colour he chose to paint his bucket. Why he favours pink? I don't know too.

He drew 2 faces on the bucket. One smiling and one crying with tears. Asked him who they were, he said the smiling side is him and the teary side is his sister cos she is always crying.

Free drawing after the painting session. He drew butterfly, caterpillar, flower, sun and a cage.

Little Vincy knows how to crawl. She can crawl when she is 6 months and 3 weeks old. She can move from a sitting position to a crawling position and vice versa.

Hurray!

Things he need to do to get the award:

(1) Swim a lap with clothes on.

(2) Swim through a hoop followed by breaststroke to a certain distance.

(3) Do backstroke with support of a kick board for a lap.

(4) Swim 8 metres freestyle.

More like struggling in water. Ha!

(6) Threading water for 10 seconds

(7) Floating on back for 10 seconds

Close-up of the certificate:

His previous awards: Duckling Award Level 4 (taken on 5th August 2007)

Duckie Award Level 5 (taken on 18th October 2008)

Good job, son!

Striding

Last Tuesday's lesson, Clarence practised his level two striding. His slow motion striding video:

New skill taught was the toe roll. Clarence has not mastered it, needs more practice. He told me it was difficult.

West Coast Park

We went to West Cost Park last Sunday to join the Chuas after their skating lesson. Boss and Clarence brought along their skates to skate there. Boss just bought his skates on Sat and he was so ''on'', he went downstairs to practice on Sat night at 11 plus pm to polish up his skating skills.

Boss demonstrating grass stop:

Sorry boss, but the correct way to stop should be heel stop! But your grass stop was also very innovative.

Dangerous act: Man carrying baby while skating

Fun for the boys at the playground

Only Isaac was daring enough to climb all the way to the top. Well-done, Isaac. As for Clarence and Francis, try harder next time!

Preparing for swimming test

Clarence will be taking his swimming test next Sat, so this week's lesson was focused on preparing the kids for the test.
When it was Clarence's turn to trap water, he did backstroke instead. Oh dear! All the adults at the pool burst out laughing at him.

Clarence doing the mushroom float for 10 counts.

After lesson, we went for lunch at Swenson's with the Chuas. We sat near a ride machine so that it could entertain the kids while we ate.

Pyjamas party

We went to Suntec City on Sunday night for Clarence's pyjamas party organised by his art school. As we were late, Clarence changed into his pyjamas outside the school.

This was the candle holder that we were supposed to paint.
Everybody was sitting down, listening to the instructions.

Start work. Paint the candle holder.

The completed candle holder (joint effort from father and son)

Then the children lit up the candle and took a walk outside the mall.

Treasure hunt time. There were 8 paper cats hidden in the happy kids area.

Mummy played cheat by asking boss to help to locate the treasure cat. But all the other parents were also doing the same thing. So I did not feel guilty at all. Ha! Clarence ran around and searched for the treasure and he was very happy when he saw boss with the paper cat. Later, Clarence managed to get another paper cat when boss spotted one and told him where it was. Hence he ended up with 2 paper cats which can be used to exchange for presents.

I must commend him cos he gave away one of his paper cat to another girl who was a few seconds slower than him when grabbing for the same paper cat. (after persuasion from us, of course) But I still feel proud of him for being so generous.
Clarence hugging his treasure hunt prize.

After that, the children were given cookies and drinks and they watched a cartoon together.

Home sweet home at 9.30pm.

More performances

Sunday afternoon, Mummy and Clarence went to the Art house again to catch Allenby's Famous Flea Circus and Bedtime.

The Flea Circus was a short performance, just 15 mins with make-believe fleas performing in the circus. Bedtime was a story about 2 friends who cannot go to sleep and get up to a bit of mischief. Both were nice and Clarence loved watching them. So I felt my money was well-spent.

For Boss

Boss is on business trip to KL. He left yesterday and will be back tomorrow night. So just load some pictures of his cute little princess for him to see. We miss you!

Bouncing Castles

When we drove past our estate on Sat night, we saw deflated bouncing castle on the floor. So we went downstairs to check out on Sun morning and discovered not 1 but 2 bouncing castles. The castles were there because of the Sub-Urban Run. Most importantly, it is free!
Bouncing castle 1: (Pirate ship)

Bouncing castle 2: (Big Pumkin)

So Clarence had a great time going "biong biong'' on the castles.
Too bad, we went down late and missed the free milo.
We saw a sailing boat there as an exhibit and mummy asked Clarence to pose in front of it.

Terminal 3 with the Wongs

We met up with the Wongs on Sat night at T3 food court for dinner. Vincy can now sit on the high chair and wait for us to finish our dinner. She will usually put her fingers into her mouth to pass time while waiting for us.

After dinner, it was playground time for the kids. Clarence enjoyed playing with Francis in the playground. They ran around, played fight and even rolled on the floor. Boys!

The two little baby angels stranded in strollers to see the fountain while the mums and dads chit chat. Both of them looked so cute. Wonder what are they thinking about???

Swimming

As usual. we went for Clarence's swim class on Sat morning. Clarence is learning backstroke now.

Little Vincy going for her free swim with daddy.

She still does not seem to enjoy playing in the water.

Playtime for the cheeky boys after the lesson. This is the part where Clarence looks forward to most.

Naughty Clarence pouring water on Isaac and putting the tub on his head!

After swim, it is art class for Clarence. Masterpiece for the week:

My weekday

Wake up in the morning to feed Vincy and send Boss to MRT station and Clarence to school.
Then I will go home and play with Vincy for a while before she goes for her morning nap. I get some free time to eat my breakfast and surf the net or watch TV when she is asleep.
When she wakes up, it is time to feed her before fetching Clarence from school.
After Clarence comes home, he will bath himself and finish his homework (if any). Then 2 of them will play together in the room while I have my lunch.

After that it is milk and nap time again for both of them. When they wake up, it is another round of feeding and dinner time.
Sounds boring but it is really very nice to be around my kids everyday.

Picture of them keeping themselves busy:

What is she doing?

Any idea what is Vincy doing?

I was feeding her and she suddenly refused to eat. Then she made all these funny expressions.

She was doing her big business. Eat and come out at the same time, Faint!!!

My workout

As my part-time maid is off for 2 wks, mummy had to vacuum and mop the floor on Thursday night. It was sure tiring even with the help of the Osim iEcologi (the 2 in 1, can vacuum and mop at the same time). To console myself, I treated it as a workout. While I was vacuuming and mopping, I switched on the TV to entertain the kids. After I finished cleaning, I found Vincy asleep in her walker. Poor gal, she must be so tired and bored!

After the "workout", I did not shed any weight nor had my tummy become smaller, all I got was backache for the rest of the night. Poor me!

rabbits......

Watch the joker:

Really cannot tahan him! He thought of the idea himself.
Silly Clarence tried to put the pants on poor mei mei's head:

Since he was unsuccessful, mummy helped and this was the outcome:

When boss came home and saw the 2 silly children, he thought they were pretending to be pirates! Excuse me dear, they were actually rabbits!!!

Cha cham bo

Mummy taught Clarence this song during Chinese New Year:

Faint, sing out of tune!
Like a spolit radio, Clarence kept repeating cos mummy only taught him these 2 lines!
Maybe he should go for singing class instead!

Skating lesson 4

After 2 wks postponement of lessons due to the rain, skating class finally resume yesterday. Clarence was very well behaved during class and did not dream so much liao. The older gor gors in his class even took care of him like telling him where to queue and helping him up when he fell. They practiced scootering with both legs.
Video of Clarence during the game play session:

Watch me slide!!!

Bradshaw's shadows

Mummy and Clarence went to the Art house on Sunday to watch Bradshaw's shadows. It is a puppetry shadow performance and I thought it would be wonderful to bring Clarence to watch it since he has not watch anything like this before.

The performance was very entertaining for both of us. Clarence says the show is very nice.

Picture taken outside the art house:

Singapore river with Sir Stamford Raffles:

Clarence got a packet of free milk after the performance.

After the performance, we lunched at Raffles City. Both the kids were mesmerised by the fountain.

Looking forward to 2 other performances at the Art house next Sunday.

Vincy's first swim

We decided to let Vincy go into the pool while Gor gor was having his swimming lesson. This is Vincy's first swim!!!

All geared up in her swim diaper and swimming costume:

Testing water:

Still testing water, getting her used to the cold water in the pool. Don know why but the pool in Suntec is always very cold.

She was not very happy, think the waters too cold for her!!!
In the pool:

Done after 10 minutes, wrapped in towel and ready for her shower:

While boss was bathing her, I took pictures of the naughty monkey in his new rashie:

Vincy having her snack after the cold swim:

Yummy! This is the first time she is eating the baby biscuit
Happy and contended baby after the snack!
