周记

Clarence started writing 周记in school. It is a torture for him and me. He simply has nothing to write about. I have to give him ideas and suggestions on what topic to write on and the content. However, I ask him to write his first draft on a piece of paper so that I can edit for him. For words that he does not know how to write, I will ask him to write in Hanyu pinyin.

It is actually good for kids to write 周记. At least he gets to write in chinese once a week. By writing, I hope he learns and recognises more chinese characters and sentence structure too. But mummy finds it hard to edit his work. So far, he has already done two 周记. Think this is a weekly project for us.

Swim board

Daddy bought a pink swim board for Vincy. She likes it. Brought her down to try it the that day, she dared not use the board, she just held on to it and walked in the pool. Haiz, must find one day to go into the pool with her and teach her.

Made hot chocolate for them to sip after their swim but it started to drizzle so we had to rush back home. Mummy was holding on to 2 cups of hot chocolate, frantically making my way back to the lift with Vincy trailing behind me. So the kids ended up drinking their hot chocolate in the balcony instead.

Open water swim 12/2

Enrolled Clarece for his 2nd Open water swim on 12/2/2012 with coach David. He was not keen to go cos it was hard work swimming in the sea but mummy just enrolled and brought him there.

Fell asleep

Asked Clarence to go to his room and study his chinese spelling, minutes later, when I went to his room, I saw him falling asleep on the floor on his chinese spelling paper. Faint!

Made me recall an incident about my dear: In our University days, there was once my dear fell asleep while studying too. Funny part, he was still holding on to the book. His roommate and I were speechless. Like father like son!

Water fun!

The kids love to play in the pool with daddy. Daddy will be the monster, chasing them all around. Vincy likes to sit on daddy's shoulder.

Guess the stretching every morning for his dance CCA really helps, he can do a better split now.

Dance

Daddy bought a kinect dance game and the meimei loves it. Whenever we play kinect, she will request to play the dance game. She wanted to dance to a lady singer song. So gor gor just anyhow chose this song named "California gurls" cos the mannequin dancing inside was a lady. Her first time dancing to the song and this song has become her favourite dance track.

Bathrobe

As it is very cold in the pool downstairs, we decided to get bathrobe for the kids to wear after swimming. Went to Robinson to get the junior size but thought it was too big for Vincy so we only bought the blue colour one for Clarence.

Vincy was very sad when she realised we did not buy for her. Told her it was too big for her but she still demanded to have one. So we let her try gor gor's bathrobe. It was big but since it did not touch the floor, we promised to get one for her next time.

Got a pink colour one for her later.

Punggol Riverside Promenade

We went to Punggol Riverside Promenade for dinner before Clarence's piano lesson 3 weeks ago. Since we still had time after dinner, we took a walk at the riverside. Daddy went back to the car to get their scooter and wore his skates.

Piggy bank

Vincy wants a piggy bank. She told us in the car the other day that she was going to steal her gor gor's angry bird piggy bank. So the 二十四孝daddy bought one for his princess. We went to choose together and gave her a surprise when she came back home after school. She was so fascinated with it.

Generous gor gor donated all his remaining pocket money to her piggy bank that day.

Out of Singapore

Daddy and mummy are going to Angsana Bintan today for a 3 days 2 nights trip without the kids this time. It has been 6 years ago since we took our last trip together without the children. Left the kids with my parents yesterday before going for my dear's company Dinner and Dance. Looking forward to the trip!

Daddy's turn

Mummy was lazy last Saturday so I told Vincy to request for Daddy to go to her piano class with her. Finally it was Daddy's turn. Good chance for them to bond!

Clarence didn't want to follow me while waiting for meimei's class to end. He knew I would be walking around shopping, he rather sat outside the music room playing with the ipad.

So mummy happily grabbed the chance to walk around the mall.
