Small bully

Catch the small bully in action at home:

Oh dear, she treats the dog like a chair. She is pulling their fur recently. We will stop her whenever we see her doing it. Only Gem will entertain Vincy, Jewel runs away whenever Vincy goes close to it.

Plaits

Vincy came back from school with a new hairstyle. The teacher plaited her hair. I was impressed. I have not plaited my hair before and I'm not sure if I will be able to tie plaits for Vincy too.

A bit messy at the end of the day!

Vincy likes her plaits too. She will normally ask me to untie her hair when she comes home everyday. But today, she refused to let me take out the rubber bands. She is still in her plaits while I am blogging now.

Makeover

It has been about 7 or 8 years since we moved to our current place and we did not repaint the walls after so many years. Mummy was bored with the paint at home so I decided to have a makeover for the living room. We decided to put wallpaper.

Verdict: Amazing! money well spent, living room looks new again!

When Clarence came home from school, he noticed the changes and he commented "so nice". Next moment, he ran into his room to check for the changes and he was disappointed. Ha ha, cos we only did for living room, not bedrooms.

Relaxing @ Zoo

Whenever we think of bringing the kids to the zoo, we will already be a bit tired cos we think of the up slopes in the zoo, the amount of walking and the humid weather.
Last sunday was not tiring at all.
We got help. We rented 2 motorised scooters.

Big one cost $35 for daddy and Clarence.

Small one cost $25 for mummy and vincy.

We happily zoomed around zoo. While driving, my conclusion was zoo was not that big after all!
Visited the fragile forest:

Had lots of fun in the fragile forest cos a lot of animals were out walking about. We really came close to a few of them.
Numerous crowned pigeon just walked past us.

We were not so tired that day. It was a relaxing day for us at the Zoo.

Vincy's motor skills has improved. She loves to feed herself whenever we go out for meals. Today, I observed her while she was feeding and realised that she managed to put more rice into her mouth than the table or her dress. Great improvement!

Ride

We went T3 for dinner and chanced upon some kiddy rides in the carpark. Clarence was very excited and finished his dinner quickly so that he could go and play. He chose to ride a motorcycle ($5 for 10 mins).

Mummy and Vincy went for family ride ($7 for 4 rounds). Vincy was very frightened of the giraffe so she did not really enjoy the ride. She went 2 rounds with me and Clarence gladly took over meimei's place.

The attendant allowed us to go for 5 rounds instead of 4 rounds.

Not because my children were cute but because mummy fell down with Vincy while trying to climb in the car. So malu!

Luckily my tube dress did not slip down as I fell.

Vincy was unhurt cos mummy tried my best to protect her while I fell. Guess the attendant felt guilty for not holding on the car while I climb in. Actually it wasn't his fault. I was too careless and clumsy in my long dress.

Daddy and Mummy has been very lazy recently. We did not bring Vincy for a swim for a long time. Part of the reason was also because Vincy kept falling sick (running nose and cough) since she went to childcare.
Last saturday, I stuffed her skirt into her panties and let her walk in the pool.

Mirror

I bought a mirror and a comb to bring to office. While we were having our lunch, I took them out and Vincy entertained herself with my mirror and comb.

Watching them playing together so happily really brightens my day!

Paint

After I came back from my manicure and pedicure on sunday, I showed Vincy my nail colours and she said nice. So I asked her if she want to paint her nails and she nodded her head.
Mummy in action:

She was very good. She sat down patiently and waited for me to paint her toenails and waited for the nails to dry too.

Bean Sprouts

Clarence excitedly showed me the bean sprouts he grew in school when he saw me today.

He kept it in his room and watered the plant cos he wanted it to grow taller the next morning.

Vincy's Observation Report (Mar 2010)

I received Vincy's first observation report from her childcare centre.
Physical (Gross/Fine)
Vincy displays good gross motor skills according to her developmental milestone, eg, walking and running. Except when travelling along the stairs, she still needs some assistance. She has good eye hand coordination during fine motor activities, eg, colouring and pasting.
Intellectual/Cognitive
Vincy has improved sense of objects, their performance and their use. She makes attempt to move one object aside to get at another. She is also able to follow simple instruction.
Social/Emotional/Moral
Vincy interacts well with both adults and peers. She is very expressive and blabbers aloud. She is comfortable with her friends when working in small group learning and hands on sessions. She participates actively in all class activities.
Overall Comments
Vincy is a fun loving girl who enjoys water play session. She is well liked by her teachers and peers.

Underwater World

Underwater world by Clarence:

He drew a shark, octopus, a yellow deep sea angler, a green fish and a sunken boat.

Personalised

Ordered online and got these personalised straw cup and snack holder for Vincy. I chose the design of the fabric and the thread colour for her name.

She loves the snack holder cos she likes the biscuits inside. One night, she went to our bag and took out the snack holder and happily started eating her biscuits without our permission. I scolded her when I saw what happened.
