Vincy's down......

My poor meimei woke up after her afternoon nap with a high fever of 38.8 degrees celsius. This is her first fever. She was so lethargic and clingy . She did not even try to grab the camera when we came close to her.

She vomited after I gave her some water. So off to the PD we went. Her temperature reached 39.2 degrees celsius there. She was given 2 rectum inserts, 1 for high fever and the other for vomiting.

Make a lantern

Clarence made a lantern during art class. I overheard him telling the art teacher he did not like to make the lantern as he already had a Ben 10 lantern at home. He preferred the battery operated type. My son is definitely the new generation cos I still prefer the traditional paper with candle type.

Forest Adventure

Mummy has been waiting for Clarence to turn 5 and reach 1.1m so that I can bring him to Forest Adventure. We booked 2 slots for Clarence and his cousin Dubery on 21/9/09. Before the booking, we brainwashed Clarence and prepared him mentally by letting him see Isaac's videos and pictures at the Forest Adventure.
We bought a pair of sports shoes for Clarence that morning so that he could go as he only has a pair of crocs at home. I wanted to buy those cheap $18 white shoes but my son insisted getting the transformers pair which cost $33. (Did not want to buy the more expensive pair cos we got a feeling he would back out at the course and it would be a waste of money)
The excited boy with his new pair of shoes:

It was a long walk to the forest adventure. Mummy felt very excited and nervous cos we weren't very hopeful that Clarence will go for the course cos we all knew he was afraid of speed and height. We were prepared to just go and let him watch Dubery gor gor complete the course and bring him there another time.
Gearing up with the safety harness and helmet:

Clarence did not talk and he looked blank when he was preparing, we knew he was scared.
Waiting for his turn to climb up the tree:

Climbing up:

On the top, getting ready for the first course:

To our surprise, he went through the first course easily. He did not back out. At that moment, I was already very contended. He was the smallest size and youngest participant for that session.

The second course:

He crossed the rope quickly.

After the first 2 course, he would hug the tree tightly while waiting for his turn. (Really scared!)

The shaking bridge:

The 4th course: crossing the rope. He could not reach the rope on top so he crossed holding on to his safety harness belt.

Everything was well until he reached the 5th course, he dared not cross the log and started to cry. So the instructor came by and helped him.

The 6th course looked easy at first but after a few steps on the wooded plank, the plank disappeared and he had to stretch out his foot to step on the small log.

The 7th course was the easiest. Clarence told me it was a little bit shaky while he was crawling inside.

The 8th course: He was shaking his head and bum bum when he was walking.

The 9th course:

The 10th course was definitely the hardest of all. Walking and balancing on the swing. Clarence cried and the kind instructor helped him to cross by stepping on each swing for him.

The 11th course was tough for him cos he was too short to reach the the rope so he was scared and cried and the instructor helped by holding his hand.

The 12th course was easy for him.

Clarence cried again while crossing the rope cos he could not reach the top of the rope at all so he was very scared.

The second last:

The last was flying fox which was the favourite for most children. It was a nightmare for Clarence though. He cried all the way down. Mummy's camera went out of battery so did not take the video of him coming down.
We were all very proud of Clarence as he managed to complete the forest adventure. Wow! He felt proud of himself too. A good experience!

Rejected

Boss promised Clarence he would bring a card holder from his company for Clarence to keep his animal kaiser cards. Clarence waited for 2 days before my boss remembered and brought it back. Clarence looked really disappointed when he got the card holder.
This was the card holder boss brought back.

Boss goodwill was rejected. Clarence returned it to boss and told him he did not want it. He wanted the book type. So the 二十四孝老爸 got no choice but spend money to buy a game card collection book from Popular for his 宝贝儿子.
This was the ''book'' my son wanted.

Admiring his card collection after slotting in the cards.

Zoo with Dubery

Dubery followed us to the zoo last Sunday.
Vincy can see the animals now. She will point and make ''woo woo'' sound when she sees the animals.
Spotted the baby African elephant and Asian elephant at the zoo.

Pony rides for the 2 kids.

Vincy did not enjoy herself at the water play area. She did not like the water splashing around her.
The unhappy meimei:

The 2 kids sharing ice-cream from Ben & Jerry while waiting for boss to drive the car from the carpark.

Animal Kaiser

Under the influence of Debury gor gor, Clarence wanted to play this game "Animal Kaiser" in the arcade. Dubery gave him 2 animal cards so boss brought him to the arcade in Suntec to play the game.
This is how the machine looks like:

A lot of kids are addicted to this game. You get a card at the end of the game and the kids like to collect these cards. There are 70 over cards to collect.
Clarence got his first card after the game:

A gor gor at the arcade has some extra cards and he gave one to Clarence. So Clarence has 4 cards. The happy boy with his cards. He even told his daddy he wanted to get a book (card-holder) like Dubery gor gor to keep his cards. Faint!

2nd round at 7-11 Sengkang the same night:

Got another card.

As of now, he has 13 cards, thanks to my boss who always entertains him and brings him to play.

Swim @ chestervale

Swimming lesson was cancelled last Saturday due to the heavy downpour at Suntec. So boss and the children had their swim at Chestervale in the evening instead.
The playful boy:

Clarence was happy to show us he can stand (with his head out of water) in the 0.9m pool without tiptoeing.

Devils

I have 2 devils at home. So I bought devil horn clips for them.
The big devil:

And the small devil:

They really get on my nerve sometimes and make me so angry. Especially when Clarence talks back (very frequently now) and when Vincy refuses her food or milk.

Wrong guess

This was what Clarence drew in his art class yesterday.

I looked at it and asked him what animal did he draw. I guessed he draw a bear. But he told me I was wrong.
He was actually trying to draw this:
