Baking cake

Fulfilled another of the birthday gal's wish: cake baking.
Signed up for the parent & child bonding cake baking session at SOEZ cooking playground at United Square on 26/8 after going up the Singapore Flyer.
All dressed up ready to bake our buttered flavoured little gummy bear cake.

Mixing the cream butter, salt, sugar, eggs, flour and baking powder:

Ready to pour into the cake mould:

Sent to cake mould into the oven to bake while we prepare the colour frosting:

Had a wonderful bonding session with the kids! And best thing is we do not need to do any washing up after that.

High up @ Singapore Flyer

We went to the Singapore Flyer on 26th August to celebrate Vincy's 4th birthday. Whenever we drove past the ECP, she would say she want to go up the Singapore Flyer. Her wish is granted on the 4th birthday.
Breakfast at the Singapore Food trail and took some pictures there too.

Journey of dreams: This is a new attraction so that the queue to the flyer will not be so boring again.

The flyer's here! Here we go:

It was drizzling when we boarded the flyer so we could not see the nice scenery but fortunately for us, the rain cleared up while we were halfway up, so we managed to enjoy the view. Photo time inside the flyer:

Vincy was a bit scared when we were in the flyer but after we alighted, she said she want to go up again.

Vincy's art

Vincy's recent colouring work:

Family camp@ Pasir Ris Park

We went camping at Pasir Ris park with the Chuas on 19/8/2012. Mummy joined in this round. This is the first time mummy is sleeping outdoors.
Arrived in the early afternoon to "choop" a good place for our tents.
Daddy was busy setting up our home for the night while the kids went off to play.

The kids played in the playground, cycled, blow bubbles, tried skating on the skateboards and played with sand. They had tons of fun!

After setting up the tent, daddy tied his hammock (his bed for the night).

 The beach boys:

Put on the lighted neck rings for them when the night is approaching.

We went to Changi for dinner then returned to our campsite. Mummy and Vincy went to Auntie Janet's place for shower before sleeping. Wash away the perspiration and stickiness with warm water, shiok!

Daddy and mummy did not really sleep well for the night. But the kids slept like pigs.
Rise and shine:

Well, I survived my first outdoor camp!

12th Wedding Anniversary

We celebrated our 12th year Wedding Anniversary yesterday night at My Humble House. The dinner was delicious, ambience was good (just the 2 of us cos we did not bring our little monsters). Rare to see my hubby dressed up in shirt and pants on weekends. He was dressed up because of the dress code at the restaurant. Strictly no Casuals allowed there.

We ordered the set dinner menu (Memories of that Spring) and started off our 2 hr dinner with an extra side dish: Wasabi prawns

1st dish: Pillow Talk (Crispy-fried Rib-eye Kagoshima Wagyu coated with Tempura Batter served in Taipan Miso and White Coffee Dressing)
Yummy!

2nd dish: Sea Breeze (Braised Superior Shark's Fin in Creamy Crab Roe Sauce accompanied with Freshly-peeled Crab Meat Wanton)
My favourite sharks fin.

3rd dish: Ocean Sunshine (Steamed Fillet of Ocean Fish with Enoki Mushrooms and Fresh Beancurd)

Refreshing Sorbet to clear the palate before the next dish.
I love the popping candies in the lime sorbet! Very unique.

4th dish: Tenderness (Pan-seared Five-spiced marinated Duck with Foie Gras served in Orange-infused Barbeque Sauce)
I cannot really appreciate this dish cos I am not a fan of Foie Gras but the duck meat and sauce was good.

5th dish: Paradise Found (Wok-based Lobster in Pickled Chilli served on Crispy Noodles)
I love the hot, spicy and sour broth in this dish.

Last dish: A sunset to Remember (Sweetened Pear with Osmanthus and Assorted Fruits accompanied with Homemade Ginseng Ice-cream)

Wonderful dinner, thank you dear!
