Mop head

We went to Robinson to get the spin and go (mop and bucket) to clean the balcony. When we reached home, silly mummy and kids took out the mop and played with it.
Creativity or Silliness:

Daddy was shocked when he saw the pictures after he returned from the carpark.
They like to help me spin the mop whenever I use it. In fact, they are always fighting for it.

Guitar

Clarence has been bugging us to let him learn electric guitar. He thinks it is very cool to play the electric guitar. Recently, his piano teacher told me he is quite musically inclined thus can learn another instrument. So we went around to enquire about electric guitar course for him. To his disappointment, all the schools we went to discouraged him from learning the electric guitar. Reason being: the electric guitar is too big and heavy for his age and his fingers are not strong enough to press the strings of the electric guitar. All of the instructors ask him to go for classical guitar lessons first for a year before switching to electric guitar. Hence we heeded their advice and signed him up for classical guitar course. He will be starting his first lesson in April.
We went to Yamaha and bought a 3/4 junior size guitar for him. He was delighted. He carried the guitar all the way to the carpark and back home.
He thinks it is cool to carry the guitar.

He is looking forward to April!

Singapore Airshow 2012

After much consideration, we bought tickets for the Singapore Airshow 2012. However, we regretted after hearing horror experiences of some who have gone 2 years ago. They queued more than 2 hours just waiting for the feeder bus to ferry them to the airshow.
On that day, we woke up early and went to T3 to catch the feeder service. To our relief. there was no queue, we went up the bus in no time. Yeah!
The mountain tortoises (they seldom took bus) on the bus:

Vincy was frightened on the bus trip. She held on to me tightly and said the bus was travelling very quickly. We reached before the official opening time but the place was already open.

We went around taking pictures with the planes while daddy queued for the chance to board the
F-15. The queues for all the planes were all very long. Fortunately for us, the weather was fine that day. No scorching sun or rain.

After 2 hours of queuing, it was finally our turn to go on board the F-15 and take pictures.

The highlight for the trip was the performance put up by the pilots. It was superb. Did not manage to take much videos cos the planes were too fast and I was too busy enjoying the airshow. One of the better ones that I manage to record:

More recipes

While my dear was on leave at home during Feb, he tried to cook more food for us using the happycall pan.
Sunny side up for Clarence: (very yummy)

He tried to fry rice with the happycall pan. (His first time frying rice)
Ingredients:

Fried rice taste was so so only.

The other day we invited the Chuas over for steamboat. The soup base for the steamboat:

The steamboat soup was a success. So far the best out of his 3 attempts.

Our Romantic trip (4/2-6/2)

We went to Angsana Bintan for a 3 days 2 nights stay. So called our romantic trip cos we did not bring the kids along. It has been years since the 2 of us last travelled by ourselves. Thanks to my parents who helped to take care of them while we were away.
Happy couple on the ferry looking forward to our holiday:

Our welcome drinks while waiting for our room. They made a mistake in booking and we were made to wait while they sorted things out.

After we got our room, we put down our luggage and reported straight to the spa for our booked massage session. The massage was good, made us feel so relaxed.

The hotel was a bit of disappointment cos it was rather old and not cheap. They really need to refurbish the rooms especially the toilets. The hot water was not hot enough so we did not get to use the bathtub at all.
Our room:

We ordered room service immediately after our massage cos we were too lazy to walk out and eat. Food was good or maybe we were too hungry? We went for a walk to explore the hotel after filling our tummies.

Second day buffet breakfast:

Wanted to rent these cars and drive initially but changed our mind later cos we planned to drive these machines with the kids when we bring them to Bintan next time. So we just be cheapo and take pictures:

Headed to the pool to swim but realised we forgot to bring sun block so we were sun burnt the next day.

The beach:

We went for another round of massage on the second day. Shiok! We spent a bomb on massages at Angsana.
Dinner by the beach after our massage. It was very windy there. Good ambience and yummy food. I love my prawns.

Buffet breakfast on our last day:

We wasted no time and headed for the pool before we checked out. My crazy dear doing silly actions:

We enjoyed the break from the kids but missed them too while we were there. What a dilemma!
The kids were happy to see us back. We promised to bring them along for the next holiday.

Dinner and Dance 2012

Went to my dear's company Dinner and Dance on 3 Feb. Missed the dinner and dance for the past 2 years due to various reasons. We left the kids with my mum and they went there to catch the last episode of 善德女皇. They don't really understand the show but they just love to watch it.
Some pictures of us at the D&D:

We did not bring the children home after the D&D cos we were going to Bintan the next day.

Grade 3 Piano Exam

29/2/2012 Clarence took his grade 3 piano exam. He started learning piano when he is 6 years old. This is the first time he is taking piano exam. His teacher let him skip grade 1 and grade 2 exam and recommeded him to take grade 3 exam instead. We were surprised by her decision too.
Meimei hugging gor gor to wish him all the best on the actual day.

Waiting for his turn. Mummy was very very nervous that day.

This was recorded when we went for the practice session at the exam venue 3 days before his exam. His first piece was ok, there were still mistakes in his 2nd and 3rd piece.

Results will be out in a month's time. We hope he can pass the exam.

Comic character

Clarence needs to go to school today dressed up as any comic character. The comic character's costume must be made from recycled materials. Daddy's creation below:

Daddy made the batman's mask from cardboard and coloured it black. The cape was made from black trash bag.

Daddy drew the batman logo too.

Presenting Batman Clarence:

Clarence was not selected by his teacher to represent the class. He told us when he went for his dance CCA today, the older boys said his batman character was so lame. Poor boy. But daddy and mummy really think his costume is quite nice. Ha ha!
