My First Haircut

Mummy has always been Vincy's hairdresser. I only cut her fringe from birth till now. Yesterday, I decided to let Vincy go for her first haircut. We went to Junior League in Suntec.
Here is Vincy with her queue no. waiting for her turn:

Getting ready:

She started crying when I told her to go and cut her hair. So mummy had no choice but to carry her on my lap while the hairdresser cut her hair.

It was a pleasant experience for her. She just watched the TV while the hairdresser cut her hair. After her haircut, she got a balloon and some stickers.
The "gong gong" look:

Her next haircut will at least be 6 mths later. Meanwhile, she will patronise mummy's private saloon.

Keyboard

I brought the kids to my mum's place yesterday. When I was driving into the carpark, Vincy shouted "Ah mah". She recognises the place! She knew how to call Ah mah and Ah gong yesterday. She wanted to play with the keyboard so she went to look for Ah gong and pulled him into the room and pointed to the keyboard to ask Ah gong to take it out for her.

My movie date

I had a movie date with him today:

We went to watch Toy story 3 (3D) at Downtown East today.
I got a shock when I paid for the 3D tickets. Each ticket costs $14, so I spent $28 on movie tickets. I really had no idea the 3D tickets are so expensive cos all along my boss has been paying for our tickets.
My date and I enjoyed the show although there is really no need to watch the 3D version for this show but since Vincy did not go, we decided to watch the movie in 3D.

Sunway Lagoon

We set off happily in the morning. It was supposed to be a 3 days 2 nights trip but in the end we extended another night cos we did not want our holiday to end so soon.
The kids in the car, ready for the long ride.

This was our longest trip to KL cos there was a massive jam at the Malaysia customs. We wasted more than an hour in the jam. Furthermore, as it was raining on and off, we could not drive too fast. We checked into our hotel at 5 plus. The Sunway resort hotel was nice.

We went to the nearby Sunway pyramid shopping centre for a walk after our dinner. The shopping mall was huge. It has cinema, bowling alley and skating rink.

Day 2
We woke up early to go down for our buffet breakfast. Food was ok. Clarence had roti prata for breakfast.

We went to Sunway Lagoon in the afternoon, after Vincy took a short nap.

First stop: Sunway wildlife

It is a mini zoo with some animals.

Next stop, amusement park. We took a few kids ride there.

Last stop: Water park.
Vincy in her tutu swimsuit.

There is a man-made beach there.

Enjoying the waves at the wave pool.

Clarence had a great time at the children slides.

After our dinner, we went to the hotel lobby for our welcome drinks.

Sleeping time! Clarence with his blanket and Vincy with her fingers in her mouth.

Day 3We woke up late, had a quick breakfast and dip in the pool before we checked out.

Shopping, lunch and kiddie ride time in Sunway pyramid shopping mall.

Day 4
Usual dip in the pool before we leave for Singapore.

Video of meimei pushing gor gor into the water.

It was a great holiday for all of us.
We found Sunway lagoon better than Genting so we dun mind going there again next time.

Ready to go

We are ready to go for our short holiday. Clarence helped me pack his own luggage yesterday night. I told him what to pack and he went to choose his clothes and bring them to the luggage. Good job, boy!
Clarence's luggage: (clothes, toys and blanket)

Vicny's luggage: (clothes, diapers, conditioner, clips, body lotion and 如意油)

The excited children:

Sunway Lagoon, here we come!

Workbooks

After Vincy's meet parents session last sat, we brought back a lot of completed workbooks from her childcare centre. I wanted to throw them away but did not do so cos Vincy likes to take out her workbooks and flip through them. So the workbooks are still in my room. She will flip through them and name the animals she knows and redo some of the activities. (eg, taking out the eyes of the bear and pasting it back again)

So the workbooks are here to stay until she stops flipping through them.

Trunki

Mummy finally succumbed to the temptation of buying trunki for my children.
Actually I wanted to get the trunki since last year but as it was not cheap so I resisted the temptation until recently......
I was deciding between buying 1 or 2 trunkis as Clarence will outgrow it soon, I decided to get 2 so that they will not fight.
My decision proved to be wise cos the moment I collected the trunkis and I passed Gor gor's to him in the car, meimei started whining cos she wanted one too. So I had to pass her one and both of them held on to their trunkis in the car till we reached the carpark.
At the carpark:

Not much storage space inside the trunkis.

Clarence chose Bernard. It is a new design.

Vincy does not know how to choose yet so mummy chose Harley for her.

Vincy packed her Barney in her trunki and Clarence packed his small blanket in his trunki yesterday night.
They had fun being pulled around the house by me. Meimei also knew how to sit on her trunki and ask me to "pull".

Kite flying at Marina Barrage

We went kite flying at Marina Barrage. No pictures to share for this post cos the memory card for my camera broke into half. I had no idea how it broke into half. I felt so sad cos I lost all the photos I took that evening.

We reached around 5 plus in the evening and there were lot of people flying kites there. Our new kite soared in the sky. Clarence and Vincy were both very happy to see the kite fly so high.

A little accident happened on that day. Our kite dropped into the waters. Daddy had to pull the string slowly to try and retrieve the kite. Fortunately, he managed to get it back. Anyway, our kite was not the only one that fell into the waters, a few others joined us too. Ha!

The Lees came and joined us for ice-cream while we waited for our kite to dry before flying it again.

Still sad that all the pictures were gone.

The Tanglin Tree

Mummy saw pictures of The Tanglin Treehouse on facebook and decided to check it out last sun. We went early in the morning and had our breakfast there. The moment we reached, Clarence and Vincy were off to play by themselves.
The treehouse:

Clarence busy at play:

Cutie Vincy on the small swing:

There is an area for smaller kids.

Flying fox:

Vincy went to push a little girl on the swing out of her own initiative. Found it so cute so I recorded it down.

I found the place nice, child friendly, food also ok but a bit pricy. Breakfast for 3 of us came up to $65!

Lyo and Merly

Clarence was asked to draw the YOG mascots Lyo and Merly during last sat art class. He did not enjoy drawing them because he did not know who they are.

His version of Lyo and Merly above.

Boy in a box

Optimus Prime is on sale. Usual price $109, now going for $79. So daddy bought it for Clarence. It has been a week but daddy has not transform Optimus Prime into a truck yet.
Caught Clarence playing with the box that day and took a picture of a boy in a box.
