Monster and ghost

Gor gor was chasing meimei around the house the other night. Meimei was screaming and running away from the monster.

While I was taking picture for gor gor's monster look, meimei also wanted to take. So I designed a ghost look for her:


She certainly looked scarier than her gor gor!

Our mini version of

We went to watch Voyage De La Vie last Saturday. The show was entertaining, a different type of exposure for the kids. Presenting our really mini version of Voage De La Vie for fun:

Inflatable fun!

Mummy and Clarence went to Junction 8 last week and redeemed this pass for Clarence:

He got to paddle the boat and he had the whole pool to himself cos there was nobody there in the afternoon.

After the paddling session, a clown made a balloon rifle for him and he got candy floss and a bottle of mineral water.
Everyday without fail, he will ask me if I am going to work the next day. When I tell him no, he will be very happy cos he need not go to student care and can stay at home with me.

Ballet class open house

We went to Vincy's ballet class open house 2 wks ago and observe her having her lesson. She was so happy when she knew we would go into her class.

Barbie pool

Mummy regretted buying the Barbie pool for Vincy cos it was such a mess when they played with it. The floor was wet! Even when I put a mat underneath the pool, the surrounding got wet. But the kids were happy playing with it.

Down with HFMD

Vincy was down with fever last Monday. On Tuesday, I took her to the doctor and when the doctor asked her if her throat was painful, she replied yes. I immediately told the doctor not to trust her cos she is only 2 yrs plus. The doctor continued to ask her if she felt any pain in her tummy and ear, her answer was no. Then the doctor looked at me and told me she KNEW. After the doctor asked her to open her mouth to check, he told me she has HFMD.
So my small gal really knew when the pain was coming from. I under estimated her. So paiseh!
I took 4 days of childcare leave to stay at home to look after her. Her HFMD was not those serious type. Her fever was gone the next day and she was up and running around the house. I kept her occupied with Lego toys for those few days.

She is well now and went back to school today so that mummy can also go back to school to conduct supplementary class and attend meeting.

She needs ......

She needs a ticket to watch movies now. We went to watch Kung Fu Panda 2 and bought a ticket for her.

She has her own seat!

She cried during the movie. Not sure if she was scared of the fighting scenes or sad because the mummy and baby panda was being chased.
After the movie, sent the kids to Ah mah's house to stay. This was Vincy's first time staying there. She was very brave and did not cry or look for me. Ha!
After leaving the kids with my mum, went for a drink in Coffeebean at Railway mall then to Macdonalds in Bishan to eat fries.

Handsome

After showering the other day, Clarence took my brush to comb his hair.

After combing, he asked me if he look handsome. Getting vain.

Got them to pose for camera, Clarence insisted not smiling to look cool. The COOL look! (more like buay song look! ha!)

I like their smiley look more.

Clarence's Semestral 1 Progress Report

Clarence got his Semestral 1 Progress Report yesterday.


Frankly speaking, as a parent, I found it super stressful to have so many bite-sized tests in a semestral. I found myself struggling to find time to prepare and revise each test with Clarence. The numerous hours put in for his oral and show and tell preparation...... So to a certain extent, this progress report belongs to ''us'' instead of him alone. I think unless your child is those super motivated and intelligent, close monitoring is still essential.
Mathematics:

He tends to be careless in his Maths and he needs more drilling. I felt guilty when I look at his Maths marks cos I should have spent more time revising his Maths with him.
English:

Chinese

No complaints for his English and Chinese results but I still prefer our old way of CA and SA rather than this holistic assessment.

New Watch

Bought a new watch for Clarence cos the old one that was given to him from my brother was broken.

He loves his new watch very very much. He wore it to swim, shower and has been sleeping with the watch on his wrist for the past 2 nights.
