Crossover

Clarence did his right crossover yesterday. I must say I am quite impressed cos I dun even know how to skate and my son can master all these fanciful skills.

His left crossover is still not stable. Even he himself said he was left handed but he could not do his left crossover well. So he needs more practice!
They played games and Clarence with 2 other boys emerged as the winners. But this playful boy pretended to fall down and lie dead.

Emcee

Clarence volunteered to be the emcee for his school's year end concert few weeks ago. He was given a few lines to remember but he was not selected in the end. Although he was not selected, mummy is still very proud of him for his effort and his eagerness (he raised his hand to volunteer when the centre supervisor came into his class to select a few students for the MC audition)

Little sharks

We went Fish and Co for lunch on Saturday and the kids were given free shark caps.
Strike a pose:

Close-up:

They wore the cap in Paragon for a while. I was telling my dear Fish and Co should pay us for the free advertising service my kids provided.

Sleep alone

This little gal slept alone in gor gor's room last night!
She has this bad habit, she will wake up and cry if she sees nobody around her. So she woke up and cried at around 6 plus in the morning today. My dear went over to carry her back to our room and she slept till 9.30 am.

My mistake

Clarence got his 听写 wrong and it was because of mummy. Careless mummy taught him wrongly. He got the word 念 correctly but mummy marked him wrong and asked him to do corrections. So when he went to school, he wrote what mummy taught him and he did not get full marks. Later at night, Clarence told me his conversation with his 老师 when his 老师 told him 念 don't have the 点:
He told his 老师:“是我妈妈教我写点的。”
老师问:“是你妈妈教你的?”
Oh dear, mummy felt so malu. I will be more careful next time.
My dear burst out laughing when he hear the story and he said Clarence is very honest.

How to distribute?

My 2 kids sitting on the floor waiting for me to distribute the toys to them.

These are the 2 happy meal toys that I got just now. Problem was: Both of them wanted the guitar. Nobody wanted the keyboard.

This was their reaction when I took up the guitar and asked,"Who wants this?"

How to distribute and yet be fair? Vincy wanted the guitar so much and she looked so cute. Clarence wanted the guitar and I did not want him to feel jealous by asking him to give in to mei mei.
When I held the keyboard and asked meimei if she would take it, she shook her head and said NO.
When I asked gor gor if he would like the keyboard, this was his reaction:

So in the end, I managed to persuade meimei to take the keyboard. She just took it and smiled at me. My little angel:

The happy gor gor with the guitar he wanted:

Am I being fair? How to be fair? Why can't MacDonald just give me one blue and one pink? That will make my job easier. Blue for the boy and pink for the girl.

Puzzle

Sad to say, Vincy has always been neglected at home. She will be wondering around the house, playing her own toys or lying on her bed while I spend time coaching Clarence or surfing the internet in the evening. So guilty mummy yesterday finally 良心发现. I did puzzle with Vincy yesterday night while Clarence was doing the assessments which I assigned. I She was so happy when I told her I will do puzzle with her and kept bugging me to get the puzzle and play with her. I was surprised she pick up rather fast (which made me more guilty)

Her little accomplishment:

Will try to spend more time with her.

Reading notes

Clarence started recognising and reading some notes 3 weeks ago. Now he plays by sight reading, no more 1, 2, 3 numberings.

He has to shift both his thumbs to share the C key for this song. He found it hard initially but after practising, he is better now.

Good progress so far and feedback from the piano teacher has also been positive.

I survived!

I survived a day in the Zoo with my 2 kids without my dear!
Mummy and Auntie Zann brought the kids to the Zoo on Children's Day. We brought another Clarence's classmate, Dinesh along. The 3 of them are best firends in school. So it was 2 mummies looking after 5 kids.

I carried a heavy haversack bag with all their barang barangs inside. Really missed my dear cos he is the one who will be carrying the bags when we go out.
Unbelievable but we queued up for an hour to get our lunch at KFC on that day.
Vincy was an angel on that day, she walked throughout the trip and sat down on the high chair for about 2 hrs waiting for us to buy, eat and the gors gors and jie jie to finish their water play session.
Although mummy was almost dead by the end of the trip, my kids were so happy to be at the Zoo looking at animals and enjoying the company of their friends. So it was worth it.
BUT, I will definitely go with my dear next time!

Children's Day Celebration

Vincy's childcare brought them to The Kids Kampong yesterday for Children's Day Celebration. According to the teacher, Vincy held a mouse by it's tail there. She came back with a bag of fish.

In the evening, we went to Clarence's childcare centre. The school was holding a potluck cum lantern walk in the neighbourhood as part of Children's Day Celebration.
Poem recitation by the pupils to kick start the evening's celebration.

After the games and potluck session, we took a walk in the neighbourhood with our lanterns. Lazy mummy did not light up their lanterns. My 2 kids just held on to the unlighted lanterns throughout the walk. Vincy was fantastic yesterday, she held my hand and walked round the neighbourhood without asking me to carry her and it was definitely not a short walk. I am glad that both of them enjoyed themselves last night.

When I saw some of Clarence's classmates at the event with their maids only, I really felt very grateful for the fact that I can be with them on all these special occasions.
