Ugly or 美美?

Whenever we ask her she is ugly or 美美,this will be her reply:

She always think she is 美美 and she gets upset when we say she is ugly.

Chinese exercises

I brought these complimentary worksheets from school and let Clarence do.

Simple 汉语拼音 exercises. Glad that he was able to do most of the questions, which meant he was paying attention during his childcare centre's Chinese lessons.

However, when I wanted to go and buy more assessment for him to do the other day, he stood in front of me and blocked me away from the books. He asked me not to buy cos he did not want to do. Faint!
Although I did not buy any the other day, I still have a lot of Chinese worksheets for him to complete and I will go and buy some English and Maths assessment for him to practice at home. Kiasu mother here getting my son ready for Primary 1 next year.

The same old monkey

Daddy bought this monkey from the Zoo for Clarence when he was 2yrs old in 2006.

4 yrs later, meimei found this monkey on gor gor's bed and it has become one of her favourite, at times replacing her Barney. She takes it out with her and goes to school with it too.

Value for money!

Under the sun

We went under the hot sun from 11 to 1 plus with the Lees at Safra Jurong.
The happy kids at the pool:

Could not open our eyes under the glaring sun.

Vincy was a bit apprehensive when we asked her to go into the waters (as usual) but she refused to get up and go for shower in the end. So she was the last person playing in the pool while the rest went for their showers.

National Day

Clarence's National Day drawing:

The orange portion at the bottom right hand corner was soldier trying to kill bad guys to defend Singapore.
Presenting the little Tays singing "Stand up for Singapore", the National Anthem and reciting the pledge.

At least his pledge taking improve as compared to last time! As for his National Anthem, the primary school music teacher next year will have to work harder! Ha!

Challenge your limit

We went to T3 to let Clarence try the trampoline bungee.

Happily jumping by himself:

Everything was fine until......

He started screaming when the helpful Gor gor wanted to help him jump higher. He is really afraid of height!
Daddy was a bit upset with him for being so scared while mummy took it easy this time. Knowing my son, getting him to go up and try already met my expectation. Good try Clarence

Lovingkids Sports Meet

We went to a Sports Meet organised by Vincy's childcare centre today. This was Clarence and Vincy's first time going to a sports meet. It was also a first time for me to attend my kid's sports meet.
Met the Chuas there:

Vincy getting ready for her event, taking picture with one of her teammates. Aiyo, both of them looked so blur!

Vincy's event was the Olympic torch. She is supposed to run with the torch and pass to one of her teammates in front.

Ready, get set, go:

My poor gal fell down cos the teacher was pulling her too quickly! Her group came in third.
Clarence's childcare teacher painted the national flag on his face. When I saw him, I thought he fell down and had a terrible bruise on his face.

My lovely kids:

Clarence stood in for one of the K2 kid who was absent and took part in the race.

Oops, he didn't know how to skip!
His group came in first for the event.
He also took part in the last event for parents and teachers.

Vincy was so happy with her medal:

This is her first medal.

Gold medal for Clarence and bronze medal for Vincy.

Pantie

Mummy wanted to put on pantie for Vincy yesterday. But she took it away from me and ran to her bed and tried to put it on by herself. I offered to help but was rejected by her. She only knew how to pull up from the front but forgot about the back. Good try, my little gal! Mummy give you 100 marks for effort.

Share

Clarence happily showed me a little present from his friend in school. It was a little tag.

It was a gift from Eiffer.
He told us he liked Eiffer a few weeks ago. So you can imagine how happy he was when he got the present from her today.

After his piano class today, the piano teacher gave him 2 packets of sweets. He opened one and kept the other one. The teacher asked him to share the other packet with anybody he likes. When I asked him who is he going to share the sweets with, he told me Eiffer.
Not mummy or daddy or meimei but Eiffer!
When he was in the car, he kept bugging me to take out the other packet of sweet so that he could put it in his school bag and pass it to Eiffer tomorrow. Faint! So young already think of girlfriend first.

Ya Ya

Vincy likes to do this action and she calls it Ya Ya, no idea where she learned it from.

Her Ya Ya never fails to bring smiles to our faces.

What is in the bag?

Mummy went shopping in Fancl and they gave me a free bag. I gave Vincy the free bag and she happily carried it around the shopping centre with something inside. What is in the bag?

Her Barney!
