Where is daddy pig?

After swimming, it was art class again. he drew pigs for art. He told us the 2 pigs were mummy pig and baby pig. When asked where daddy pig was, he told teacher daddy pig went to work. So that was his impression of his daddy .

The baby pig in the picture was Vincy and he told us he was in the green house.

Mummy love the sun drew by Clarence, cos the sun is always smiling. He told the art teacher he wanted to draw a happy sun for mummy. So sweet of him!

After art, surprisingly, Clarence requested to have lunch in the food court. Rare, cos he normally will want to go to Crystal Jade for food. Good, save money!

Budget Terminal

We went for dinner at Budget Terminal yesterday. Gor gor Clarence finished his food quickly so that he can go and play in the playground. Took picture of boss and his little princess after the dinner.

Mei mei's new bed

Mei mei got her new mattress yesterday. She has no problem adjusting to her new sleep place and boss finally got his place back on the bed.

Upgrade

Mei mei got an upgrade of car seat. This is a hand me down from gor gor. The new one is really big, takes up a lot of place in the car. She has been shifted from the front to the back seat. Now gor gor will be able to hear her wailing directly into his ears.

大年初二

大年初二, we will always go to my 二叔 and 三叔's house to 拜年. We went in the early afternoon so that boss can play MJ.

While boss was playing MJ, mummy left Vincy with her 二叔公 and watched the MJ game. Heehee!

Vincy in her 旗袍!

About half an hour later, 二叔公 said Vincy was tired so I put her on a mattress on the floor and she fell asleep shortly. She took a long nap of about two and a half hour there. So mummy was idle and ate lots of new year goodies and curry chicken. Yummy!

Clarence is a bog boy now. He ran around with his cousin and kept himself occupied by playing PS2 and PSP.

He is very addicted to the Ben 10 alien force game on the PSP now.

This is what Clarence says to everybody during Chinese New Year:

大年初一

First stop: My mother-in-law's place

We had lunch there before we went to my mum's place. The moment boss reached there, he helped himself with the Wii. He was happily playing boxing.
Evidence below: (did not even stop the game when mei mei was crying in the bumbo chair, opps!)

Highlight of the day at my mum's place for Clarence was the lion dance.

Vincy was very good. She allowed people to carry her and she smiled at everybody. She is so much better than her gor gor. When gor gor was a baby, he will cry when we were at other people's house or when others carry him.

And we had my favourite steamboat for dinner that night.
We left my mum's place at around 11.30pm. Clarence wanted to stay for the night so we just brought Vincy home. I fed her in the car and she was so exhausted that she fell asleep after her feed in the car and did not even wake up when we reached home, changed her diaper and clothes. Totally knocked out!

Swimming at Safra Yishun

We went for a swim in the morning at Safra Yishun on New Year Eve. Clarence got a cut on his left toe in the pool. The lifeguard offered to put plaster for him but he did not want to and insisted on playing on the slide. So we continued playing and only after I said it was time to go home, then he told me it was painful. （只想着玩！）

After we went home, it was nap time for the children before we went to my mother-in-law's place for our reunion dinner.

BackCare Kids 2

We went to Paragon and bought a super single mattress from Simmons for Vincy on Sat.
A highlight of this mattress: supposed to repel wetness and moisture. They will deliver the mattress on Thursday. Yeh! Vincy has her own bed and mummy soon does not need to worry about her falling down from my bed.
After trying out the mattress there, Mummy and Boss were very tempted to change ours too. Our old queen size Simmons has been with us for about 9 years already. Time to change? But it is still in good condition leh! Still considering cos it is not cheap! Furthermore, I am not working now and times are bad.

Shopping in Vivo

Went shopping with boss in search for his new year clothes. While waiting for him and out of boredom, I took pictures of my boy and girl.

Clarence also wanted a go at picture taking, so the following pictures were taken by him.

Breastfeeding

Clarence always watches me breastfeed Vincy. So this is what he has learnt!

He did this when I was breastfeeding Vincy in the nursing room in Vivo City. I told him I need to breastfeed mei mei and he told me he also need to breastfeed his baby! Mummy could not stop when I saw what he did.

Downstairs

I brought Clarence downstairs to cycle yesterday afternoon. He has not cycled for a long time, at least 6mths. Hmm... his bicycle is too small for him now. He needs a bigger one.

While my prince was cycling, mummy played with my little princess.

After cycling, Clarence requested to go to the playground. See how the brave boy do mini rock climbing and slide down the fireman post. Watching him climbing up made me realised my boy had grown so much.

Before going home, he wanted to try out foot reflexology on the pebbles as he saw me walking on it just now. He walked to and fro twice easily, telling me it was not painful. So kids are healthier than adult, I felt so much pain when I walked on the pebbles and I could only do it once.

I really enjoy spending time with my kids. I don't think I will be able to take them out so often if I am working. So I really must treasure the time I have with them now.

Play cooking

Clarence played cooking with his mei mei yesterday afternoon. He pretended to cook food in his kitchen and served food to his mei mei. He even pretended to feed her.

I asked Clarence to keep Vincy entertained while I went to prepare dinner yesterday. When I returned, I saw him reading to his little sister.

Oh my god, I almost fainted when I heard him sing "have you any fool'' instead of ''have you any wool'' Like that mei mei will definitely learn the wrong things!

Although he read wrongly, but mummy still think he is a good gor gor!

Struggling out

Clarence can sit in the bumbo chair for a long time and won't even bother to struggle out when he was a baby but Mei mei is the opposite. She has been trying to push herself out for quite some time. Judging the way she is pushing, I think she will be able to get out of the bumbo chair by herself soon. Glad that we did not invest in another bumbo chair for her or else it will be rather wasteful if she doesn't want to sit inside.

Sad to say, she succeeded today! I saw her coming out of the bumbo chair twice. Why is this small sized girl so strong?

Sengkang swimming pool

Daring mummy took both the kids to Sengkang swimming pool all by myself this evening. Clarence played in the pool while mummy babysit Vincy in my hotsling. Clarence was very happy playing in the pool.

While I was babysitting Vincy, I heard someone call "Auntie Nicole" and to my surprise, I saw Isaac and Uncle Steven. They came for a swim too. Clarence was so happy to see his buddy and the two of them had fun pretending to be sharks, chasing each other.

After the swim, Clarence rinsed himself in the toilet before we went home. Once home, he showered, applied body lotion and dressed himself. Independent boy today.

Fun with Pogo

This was a present from us to Dubery for his birthday. Dubery opened it a day before his birthday and we all played with it. It is recommended for 8 yrs and above and people weighing less than 65kg. Mummy had a go at it and it was quite scary, cos I find it rather difficult to balance myself on the ball (too old for this stuff). However, think it will be quite easy for children cos they pick up things fast and they are not scared at all.

Dubery's birthday

We went to Dubery's birthday party yesterday. Dubery is 8 yrs old now.

After cake cutting, I could not believe my eyes when I saw this. Boss used Vincy as a human table for his plate of cake! Child abuser!

Then we had fun playing with Dubery's birthday present-Nintendo Wii. The Wii sure provide endless hours of family fun for everybody. Even Clarence likes to play too. He tried bowling and boxing.

After the children were tired of playing with Wii, they came up with their own game with the party hats. They put the hats all over themselves and tried to fight with each other. BOYS!
I call them Mr horny! Ha ha (full of horns all over the body)!

The Wii also has a game for exercising. You key in your age and height and are then asked to do some balancing exercise on a specific board then it will tell you your body's actual age.
So after mummy went up, it told me my body was eight yrs older than it should be and my weight is normal.
Boss result: overweight and his body is 12 yrs older than it should be.
The worst result was from my 三叔. His body is 18 yrs older than it should be. We all had a good laugh after the analysis! Of course boss and 三叔 kept saying the results were not accurate at all.

Party hat

This is what Clarence painted for art lesson today. The art teacher said he did the drawing and painting by himself. She helped him to paint a portion of the background. Mummy labelled the picture according to artist Clarence's description.

The painting was supposed to be made into a party hat. However, Clarence was tired and refused to do so. Mummy and teacher got to persuade him for some time before he agreed to make it into a party hat.

He was happily wearing his party hat after the class. He even wore it around Toys R Us!

Mr half-day

Clarence has been attending half-day childcare instead of full-day for the last 2 wks. He is already very used to half-day and he will always tell me he wants half-day. Guess he still prefers to stay at home.
However, sometimes he really gets on my nerve when he is home so early. Then I will threaten to send him for full-day if he does not listen to me. He really is a pest at times! But also very cute and adorable at times! So contradicting right?

Feet

Vincy is fond of playing with her own feet nowadays. She even puts them in her mouth. Part of growing up.

Besides her feet, she typically puts whatever she can find into her mouth.

Rings, rings and rings

Bought these colourful rings to hold Vincy's toys in the car and these rings ended up being her toys. She will put her hands through the rings or put the rings inside her mouth. These rings kept her entertained during the ride in her car seat.

Tiara

May I present my little princess with a tiara on her head! We went to this children shop while Clarence was having his art lesson. Mummy bought a clip from there and shamelessly asked the salesgirl for permission to borrow the tiara for Vincy to put on. Did not buy the tiara for her cos it was too big for her. Maybe when she is older..........

Did not manage to make her flash her cheerful smile while taking the pictures, what a pity!

Hairbands

The silly mummy is in action again. This time with hairbands. Ha ha ha! Made meimei put on hairbands and took pictures for her! Mummy is just trying too hard to make mei mei look like a girl! Hee!

Turtles and butterfly

Clarence drew turtles during Saturday's art lesson. The art teacher told me she teach them how to draw the turtle then he drew the whole picture by himself later. When I went in to pick him, he was patiently colouring the the picture, filling up the blue sea.

Final product:


On Sunday's make-up art lesson, he drew a butterfly. He used his handprints to print on the paper to make wings for the butterfly then he drew the body of the butterfly.

Coincidentally, after his art lesson on butterfly drawing, mummy spotted a sleeping butterfly on boss's shoulder.
